A great introduction to Rookie ball for 8-11-year-old boys and girls!
What is Rookie Ball?
Rookie Ball serves as an ideal transition from T-ball to standard baseball and softball. It allows players to develop essential skills such as hitting a moving ball, running the bases, and fielding while learning the game’s fundamental rules in a fun and supportive environment. Every player receives equal playing time, and coaches guide them through the basics and rules of the game. We emphasize fun, friendship, teamwork, and sportsmanship, striving to create an environment that encourages parent involvement.
How is the game played?
- In Rookie Ball, an automatic pitching machine replaces a traditional pitcher, providing a safe and controlled environment for players to learn.
- Teams hit the ball and run the bases to score runs.
- Fielders catch the ball and try to get players “out” before they cross home plate, which prevents them from scoring.
