Welcome to the FHTB Family. We look forward to seeing and hearing you cheer on your child from the sidelines. Here is some information to ensure that your child’s season is safe and fun.
Equipment
All players must wear a league cap and shirt. They may not wear jewelry except Medical Alert necklaces and/or bracelets. Metal cleats are not allowed (and regular running shoes are acceptable). Long pants must be worn—NO SHORTS (for safety reasons).
All players must wear a batting helmet (supplied by the player), ideally with the chinstrap fastened, when they are on deck, batting, or running the bases.
All t-ball players must use a suitable ball glove. Ball gloves for Blastball players are optional, though many choose to use them.
Cancelled Games
If the city has closed the diamonds due to weather or field conditions, games are cancelled, and the website will be updated accordingly.
The home page will be updated by 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 8:00 a.m. Saturdays to indicate whether games have been cancelled.
If the games are not canceled and it rains just prior to or during a game, the two coaches will confer and decide together if the game should be called off. If the coaches agree to cancel a game before game time, the two coaches will contact the parents to inform them of the cancellation.
All parents and coaches are expected to arrive at all games, regardless of the weather conditions, unless they have received an email or phone call notifying them of cancelled games or the website indicates that games are cancelled.
If lightning is observed just before or during a game, the game will be cancelled.
Smoking Policy
Forest Hill T-Ball requires that all parents, volunteers and spectators refrain from smoking within close proximity to the sportsfield and benches.
Tax Receipts
Effective for the 2017 and subsequent taxation years, the Children’s Fitness Tax credit has been eliminated. Please visit the Canada Revenue Agency‘s website for more information.
